The Personnel Committee shall screen and recommend all paid staff, which may include lay pastors, music ministers, secretary, maintenance and treasurer. Pastors are exempt in hiring and firing. It shall develop job descriptions for all staff, including the pastor(s) and provide for “the annual review of the adequacy of compensation for all staff.” It shall also make recommendations for dismissal if necessary. It shall handle all problems/ concerns related to staff and recommend solutions to Session. They will consult with the finance committee for all financial concerns. The nonordained staff are directly responsible to Session which establishes policies consistent for all employed persons.
